I'm Matt Brasic and I own TrueRoof. I measure your roof off satellite imagery and text you a real number, usually the same day. Nobody sits at your kitchen table trying to close you.

Text links don't do anything in a desktop browser, so use this instead. Same inbox, same person reading it.
Goes straight to me. I'll text you back, usually the same day.
Go get quotes from whoever you want. Screenshot, PDF, photo of a piece of paper, doesn't matter. Send me the best one and you get 2 options, both in writing, before you sign anything with me.
Identical system to what they quoted. Same shingle, same underlayment, same scope, same warranty terms. I come in under their number.
You pay what they quoted and I put a materially better system on your house. Better shingle, longer manufacturer warranty, higher wind and impact rating.
Your pick.
What makes it a fair fight is the same roof. Same tear-off, same square footage, same scope of work. If their quote leaves out the tear-off or the permit and mine includes it, I'll show you the exact line where they differ instead of pretending the 2 numbers are the same.
If I can't beat it either way, I'll tell you and you should take the other deal. It's happened. It's rare.

Most roofing companies pay a rep to sit at your table and close you. That rep takes a cut of the job, somewhere around 10 to 15%, and it's baked into the price you get handed. I don't have reps, so there's nothing to bake in.
I price the roofs myself off satellite imagery. Small crew, no call center, no door knockers. That's the whole trick, and the difference goes to you instead of a sales budget.
The number I text you is the number. It isn't an opening bid.
Lower price on the same system, or a better system for the same price.
#104.019489 residential and #105.009527 commercial. I carry both.
9 years, and a showroom you can walk into on a Tuesday.
Manufacturer backed. It transfers if you sell the house.
If my install is the problem, I come back and fix it free.

Brava Certified Contractor"Don't sleep on Instagram. I found Matt and his team after scrolling one night. He responded within minutes, came out within days. He helped us choose a beautiful Malarkey shingle and his team installed the roof by 2 pm. If you're skeptical about contractors, go with Matt. He will overcommunicate from start to finish."
"Matt was awesome. He took care of everything and everyone who came out to do the work. The guys were professional and fast. They had my entire roof done in 4 hours, everything cleaned up, and were gone so fast, like ninjas. My roof looks amazing."
"Would I recommend him again? I recommend him all the time. Anytime somebody in the Facebook groups asks if anyone knows a roofer, I say yep, I know a great one. Call him, you won't have any trouble."
A roof is a 5 figure decision. Anybody pushing you to sign today, before you've talked to another company, is protecting their commission. Get 3 quotes and read them line by line.
A real roofer hands it over without flinching. Mine are at the bottom of this page.
A materials warranty is a different thing. Ask who fixes a bad install, and for how long.
A local address means somebody answers when a problem shows up in year 3.
Tear-off, disposal, permits and cleanup belong in the number, not added on later.
This is exactly why I'd rather you shop first. Beating a quote is easier than talking you into one.
That's all I need to start. Tap the button and the message is already written, so add the address and hit send.
I pull your roof up, measure the square footage and the pitch, and text you a real number. Usually the same day. No appointment, no salesperson in your living room.
Before we start, somebody gets on the roof to check the decking. If we find something satellite couldn't see, you hear about it before we touch anything. Most asphalt replacements run 6 to 10 hours, and we tarp the landscaping and magnet-sweep the yard before we leave.
Lifetime on materials, 5 years on my workmanship. I check in after the first big storm and after the first winter. If something looks wrong, I come back, because I installed it.

Solar-ready replacementTrueRoof started with me on roofs and my mom running materials out to job sites. Now my fiancée Becca is building the rest of it with me. When you text the owner, you're texting this family.
The showroom is a real room inside Louis Joliet Mall, not a phone number pretending to be an office. Walk in and put your hands on the shingle before you pick it.
Showroom: 3340 Mall Loop Dr #1230, Joliet, IL 60431, inside Louis Joliet Mall. Text me and I'll tell you when I'm there.
Out-of-town crews roll through Illinois after a hail event, sign everything they can, install fast and leave. Here's how to tell them from a roofer who'll still be here in 10 years, whether you're checking me or anyone else.
| What to check | Storm chaser | TrueRoof |
|---|---|---|
| Where they're based | Out of state, here for the season | Joliet since 2017, showroom in Louis Joliet Mall |
| Illinois license | Often none, or expired | #104.019489 and #105.009527 |
| How they price | Commissioned rep, padded number, sign-today pressure | Priced by the owner off satellite imagery. Beat-any-quote guarantee |
| Warranty | Materials only, nothing on the install | Lifetime materials and 5 years workmanship |
| When something goes wrong | Number's disconnected by next spring | Same cell you texted the first time |
It happens more than you'd think. The claim gets approved, the check shows up, and the guy who started it stops answering the phone.
Text me the approved scope. I'll read it for free, price it in writing off what's already been approved, and you'll hear from me at every step from tear-off to the last nail out of the grass.
If your town is on this list I'm already in your area most weeks. If it isn't, text me and ask, because the answer is usually yes.
A typical asphalt shingle replacement runs $13,000 to $18,000 depending on square footage, pitch and which shingle you pick.
That's the honest range, not your number. Text me the address and I'll measure the actual roof instead of guessing at it.
Any written quote from a licensed, insured Illinois roofer for the same scope of work. You get 2 options in writing: the same system for less money, or a materially better system for the same money. You choose.
Same scope means same tear-off, same square footage, same warranty terms. If theirs leaves something out, I'll point at the line rather than pretend the 2 numbers match. And if I can't beat it, I'll say so.
Satellite imagery. I pull up your roof, measure the square footage and pitch off the image, and price it from there.
Somebody still gets on the roof before we install, to check the decking underneath. If that turns up something the image couldn't show, you hear about it before any work starts.
Because a form goes to a sales team and a text goes to me. Most roofing sites collect your number and hand it to a rep who chases you for a week.
If you're on a desktop, the form on this page is fine. It lands in the same place.
No commissioned reps and no call center. A rep's cut is roughly 10 to 15% of the job and it's built into the quote you get handed.
Same materials, same crew quality, lower overhead. The difference goes to you.
Yes, that happens all the time. Text me that it's approved and send over the scope.
I'll read it free, price it in writing against what the carrier already approved, and take it from there.
No. I've been in Joliet since 2017 with 2 Illinois licenses, #104.019489 and #105.009527, and a showroom you can walk into.
Storm chasers follow hail across the country, sign everything they can and leave. The number on this page is the same one you'd call in year 4.
Most asphalt replacements take 6 to 10 hours. One day, in and out.
Bigger or more complicated roofs can run 2 to 3 days. You'll get the timeline before we start, not after.
Lifetime on the materials, 5 years on my workmanship. The materials warranty comes from the manufacturer and transfers if you sell the house.
The workmanship warranty is mine. If the install is the problem, I come back and fix it at no cost.
Or just the address, if you're starting from scratch. Either one takes about 10 seconds.
